Plot summary:

Maya is an adventurous young honey bee. This is why she wants to explore the world outside the bee hive and live free. But while trying to persuade her best friend Willy to run away with her, she accidentally breaks the hive. She now has to find a way to repair it before the bees return. Flip, the wise grasshopper, will help her work out a solution and so, the adventure begins! Little Maya has to look for three elements. Ben is the first stop during this crucial mission. One of the elements is hidden in his dung ball. The next stop is Beatrice. They need her help to find the place where the butterflies store their golden dust. Their last, but most challenging stop, is Thekla the spider. As soon as they manage to evade the risk of becoming her meal, they will have to persuade her to join forces and give them her spider web. Throughout her journey, Maya invites children to pitch in. A giant dung ball, rolling from one spectator to the other, a drum and multiple surprises will take children and grown-ups on a journey with Maya the Bee!
